But regardless, resistance training is very, very healthy for a person, the injury rate (if done correctly) is almost zero, the health benefits, particularly metabolically and joint are excellent, with the only negative being central arterial stiffness - which as a bonus is completely attenuated by aerobic activity such as cycling.
Thanks for sharing your expertise here! Trying to convince my patients of the benefits of resistance training is a source of daily frustration.

Everything else is marketing crap to steal your money, all the pre / post workout shit is also just that, shit. D aspartic does not work above any other amino acid, its rate limited, having more in your system above normal levels does nothing.

And as a bonus, exercising you rat with type 1 diabtetes is great for improving its erectile dysfunction

cheers for that mate, thought they were just expensive crap. Ah well, I guess decisions must be made in the next couple of months.
By the way, if that's you in your avatar, well, looking good. That's the sort of build I am looking for, I mean to build myself into.

but honestly, I don't think people would give a shit if you went on a 12 week cycle to build a large body and then stopped. I believe people see what they want to see and believe what they want to, most people assume a muscular (huge) bloke is on the gear regardless.
I already got cortisone injections to both shoulders, take voltaren 50s to get through work and workouts, painkillers after the workouts, without them I would be incapable of working out so not much natural about my workouts. the whole roid thing is a last option, still a long way from even considering them, but they are cheap

No problem fellas, I get asked this stuff every week during the teaching semester, the money is better spent on keeping the Mrs happy, a HRM or GPS, bike parts... or something that makes exercise more interesting so you do more of it. i wrote a post on here a while back regarding resistance training with a fair bit of detail.

On a side note, steroid use / abuse, it works amazingly well at building mass rapidly (still need some decent training) and helping lose excess weight, there is also very little in the way of side effects if taken sensibly for a short period of time, at least no side effects are noted in scientific studies. But, very importantly, these studies are managed very well and have excellent over site from Drs and pharmacists.

I would take steriods if it was prescribed by a sports based GP and supplied by a pharmacist, but there is no way I am buying some shit from the carpark at Dohertys, Spartans, Westgate leisure, not knowing what is in it and the exact dosage. The other issue steriods are extremely addictive, as not the drug, but the benefits you get from them, its a slippery slope.

I am not as big as that guy, but I once was dressed a as Nazi in a bondage store, whipping the arse of a professor strapped to a iron cross, for the small price of a PhD placement and scholarship, no regrets.

Definitely no pictures, the Mrs was 'somewhat' comfortable with what happened. Eagle leather was the location, guy behind the counter was probably wacking off while watching... I don't know.

    This just gets better!

One of my regular customers wants to be a power lifter...only he is about 5.7 feet tall and from a light weight family. He works hard at it and has some bulk but looks like he could've starred in the hobbit as one Bilbo's companions.

I wore a gimp mask once in a porno store. We were looking for a birthday present and I got bored...seems to me that the universal thing for those kind of stores is that the dude behind the counter is always going to be wierd.
