One on a DH and the other on a AM/XC thingy? Think he's up for a little XC

We went late last year with a group that had xc bikes (including a sub 11kg Giant Anthem) and they were fine on most of the tracks. Your mate will probably have more fun than you he has an advantage on the pedally bits
