CORC used to run races in this area in the mid to late 90's. The track was called pipeline. It was a fun course back then. The trails on the map are most likely more recent but surely some of the old single track still exists further around the mountain.mabey CORC should have a look at doing a race there.
The map's a bit out of date but there is a nice single track network out.Wow, they are actual proper tracks by the looks of things. Might have to make my way out there sometime. Are they all legal? mabey CORC should have a look at doing a race there.
Sorry - I don't know of a more current map, and I haven't actually ridden out there for I while, so I am no help to you...scbullit,
I understand that there have been some amendments in the past two years to the map. I have a hard copy of V5.0, now 8 months old. Do you know where I can obtain the latest version of the Jerra maps?
I have been riding there in the last week and have noticed that the recent weather has caused some overgrowth to some parts of the tracks. Recommend long sleeves.
+1Hey all,
I've been riding the Jerra trails recently over the last few weekends, and it's not too bad. I've done it about 4 times now and am getting more familiar with them.
Reading through the previous posts, I think it is fine to ride your bike here. There are signs from the council saying that it is. So I doubt anyone will have an issue with it.
The trails do need a bit of work and I have started to slowly place markers on the ground to make forks in the road easier to find. The trails are a bit overgrown as well, so I would advise to wear some long sleeves, and sunnies.
There are some challenging parts, both physically and technically, but also some nice flowing ones as well. If I didn't have my iPhone with GPS, I probably wouldn't have been as adventurous.
The tracks are definitely suited to the dually, and in particular Trail type bikes (e.g. Giant Trance). There are some drop off's too, so take it easy. Hope this post helps and I see more riders out there.
