A good rider can ride a bike like that extremely aggressively. The smoother you are the less need for a big burly rig. A few mm on the stem and fork means nothing.

What do you mean in between forks? I think the 34's would be perfect not as heavy as the 36's yet stronger than the 32's
not sure if you really know what your talking about!!
i am sure most people would give their left Ball for a ride as good as this

Haha, yeah I reckon the 34s will be perfect. I had 32s on my old bike (575) and these seem to be a lot stiffer and not noticeably heavier and will handle anything that I will throw at them. For the riding I will be doing, the 36s are too big. Plus the wheels are burly enough to handle most riding I plan to do I think. Will give a report after its first proper ride this weekend!

I think your rig will handle it, very nice bike by the way.

I run the Bos Devilles on my Mojo HD which are 34mm. They're plenty strong/stiff enough. Ive never found 32mm forks to be stiff though? More like noodles is a better description. Id be going 36mm before going back down to 32mm.. Fox Floats only weigh 2kg anyway? Stiffer the better.

The HD gets an absolute caning, as i now ride it as my only bike on all the (tamer) dh tracks as well as xc trails, yet weighs in the mid 12's. How can you not like AM bikes?!

sorry for my ignorance, they are not 32's, they are not 36's. so they are inbetweens....

and the question was how aggresssive has anyone ridden these things.

ive seen nomads ridden very hard, Ibis hd, specialised sworks enduro smashing dh trails, and ive given my orange 5 a work out.

havnt seen a sb66 doing anything special as yet.

So I assume they are a more burly xc trail bike, than a scaled down dh weapon.

once again, that is a sweet looking bike, and i think the 34s are probably perfect for a "inbetween bike" thats not going to be ridden super hard.

enjoy the great weather this weekend!!

I plan to hit up 50km xc loops one weekend then the next weekend go and session some 2m drops and double jumps at my favorite DH track . So yes this bike will see it all!

I have a Tracer 2 with fox float 34's on it. I had 36's on my bike before I feel no noticeable difference between them on the rough stuff

Just picked up the new toy, the 2012 Commencal AM. Pretty much stock apart from rear dérailleur, X9 Type 2, X0 shifters and American Classic AM wheel set.

Next on the shopping list is a dropper seat post. A fork upgrade could also be on the books.

Birdie birdie in the sky laid a turdie in my eye. If cows could fly I'd have a cow pie in my eye.

Polygon ax3. Been riding it for a few months now, pretty happy with it. Just need to get a dropper post, and maybe some wider bars. Considered getting shorter stem also, but am pretty tall and long armed, so the current 70mm works pretty well, can still get right back.

Hey ! Nice bike !

I got one also !:clap2:

How do you find it pedals ?

Ive put wider bars on it and dropped the stem. Swapped the stupid looking seat out for something I was more familiar with. Put an Ardent on the front. Really enjoying it.

Been too lazy to weigh it, have you got a complete weight on it ! Size M perhaps !

I find it pedals really well. Dont really notice any pedal bob, and i never use the propedal, just open all the time.

Dont have any idea on weight, no way og weighing mine, which is a large. At a guess i'd say 14 kg give or take a kg?
