Yeh i wondered about those. It was either them, ebay, or the Germans. From China via a dodgy seller on Aliexpress that's sold out and vanished... About $160 for the pair i think. Hopefully they turn up

I've bought stuff from Aliexpress before without drama, hopefully not this time. Price was right.Yeh i wondered about those. It was either them, ebay, or the Germans.
Yes, I believe they areWould these be a direct swap on to older BL-MT500 levers? I guess not.
They come stock on the 2019 Scott Gambler 730, so I think they're just putting out a cheaper 4-pot to spec on lower end bikes. For e-bikes maybe?
As far as I can tell, MT500, MT501 and M6000 Deore levers are exactly the same thing.Would these be a direct swap on to older BL-MT500 levers? I guess not.
They've had a big crackdown on selling well known brands out the back door, I bought a TLD top about a year ago for $30 that's mint. It hasn't faded or torn and even has the zipper pocket at the back. I've heard a rumour from overseas that shitmano are going to jack their prices up by stopping places like CRC and Fleabay from heavily discounting their parts.Buying from dodgy sellers on Aliexpress is fraught with danger, I bought a few TLD tops that looked like a bargain (ie- shit that's reaaally cheap impulse buy) when they finally arrived it was pretty obvious they were duds and they had disappeared from the site, but had resurfaced under a different name . I did some digging on them and found that they (and a whole lot of the other sellers flogging really cheap stuff) actually come from the official factory but is stuff that has failed QC...
I couldn't wear the tops because of a wrong size tag sown into them -not a biggy-, not sure I'd trust brakes that had failed QC.
What does it matter to them? They sell units regardless of how thin the profit margins are for the 3rd party that sell to public. Surely they'd be encouraging bulk sales numbers. If you're talking about region-specific Shimano importers, well then that's another issue.I've heard a rumour from overseas that shitmano are going to jack their prices up by stopping places like CRC and Fleabay from heavily discounting their parts.
No matter what people think bike shops are in for the money not to make friends. If they want bike shops to sell bikes with shimano components I suppose they'll need to give in. Australia is just a small pee in a pod, it's large LBS chains in the US that have great pull. I'm not happy about it either but that's just the way it is, the bike industry is getting more and more commercialised as it goes along. What does it matter to them? If they want us in Aus to stop buying from oversea, they should re-assess their business model. When it's cheaper to buy parts from CRC than wholesale from Shimano Aus, you know something is wrong. Even if CRC ends up with a 10-20% price rise, it'll still be the cheaper option for most things.
Mine were $160 landed for the pair from Aliexpressanyone found these in stock around $100, having trouble locating one
It already has 4 pots. Why not put the 4pots on the trance though?
