Ok. Forget God. He sux. How about Dog then?
I’m sure Felix could have ridden Hookworms to the podium!

But they are a great tire. Just wish they weren’t so damn expensive and elusive.
Grabbed a few sets from Zee Germans on sale last year. Ended up around $55 each posted. I’ll save those others for the lad. This set has only done one race...and he barely brakes.

Looking good in the lead up to this, I'll be out on Thursday for a condition report, but expecting it to be running very nicely :)

All up to date details are in the original post.
Group two you're welcome to continue discussion between yourselves regarding where you're starting from for preferred trails.
We could all meet at Mt Evelyn footy club and then 500m guys could scoot off again in cars to a different location for start, while the 1000m group rides off from there.

Bugger. Can’t we ignore that so Daniel can be excluded? :D

It might be worth riding up to the top of Inverness Road to begin and ride a combo of True Grit, Top Gun(Truthiness), JJ’s and To The Valley or Igor to finish. Will be plenty of climbing but no repeating.
You could add in Lyre Lyre after JJ’s to add another descent if time/fitness permit but it will test people that don’t climb often.
@tkdbboy what are your thoughts? Sounds like a good combo with Lyre Lyre added in. What sort of elevation do you think it would be?

It's probably a good 25km and somewhere between 500 - 700m vert.
The extra trip over from JJ's to Lyre Lyre could be pretty cruisy if taken slow and all fire roads, there is no real steep pinches.

Here's my take on the trails to help you guys think about what you might prefer.

Temple of Zoom - Tight fast with a bit of peddling in the top half. No major features other than a smaller log drop at the bottom.
Igor / No Strava - Steep sections with the biggest gap jumps in the network, some big hucks to flat if you want and interesting features.
To the Valley below - Steep fast tight tech, smaller to flat jumps.
Lyre Lyre - Steep fast flow with some big drops, steep tech rock shoots, two larger gaps and some smaller doubles down the bottom, long log skinny.
Bottlecaps - Steep tech with lots of log drops, two gaps and serious rock gardens. No B lines around the drops but can bypass both jumps.
JJ's - Steep fast and tight with a couple of drops and two medium gap jumps
True Grit - Steep fast into the valley, across skinny log bridge over a creek, bit of a climb out the other side.
Truthiness - Super fast rough downhill with a couple of high speed log drops.

Problem is they are all fun in their own way!
I don't think I made it any easier to choose lol

besides, who do you think will push you up the last 2 climbs
you won’t have laid eyes on chris/felix since the car pk
dale looks after 1 person...dale
anthony has only 1 ride in the last 2 months
teK will b descending with the 1st 2
wozza not attending
slowmick will probably b lightning fast, have biceps of steel & realised he’s too cool to hang with us

ps don’t forget the bungee cord—if it makes you happier SS left at home, rocking 9 speed all the way
