Erosion. ride it anyway. They blocked the mid way exit a few months back. Careful at the very end it gets very narrow next to the cyclone fence. Ive clipped it twice now.

And Klingsporn is probably advanced, tight, technical and hard on bike and body for most of the ride. Very tough at the end of the day.

    Yarra Trails regulars

Rode Kew to Bulleen this morning except for the paddock. All in all the trails were in very good nick. Burke rd Billabong a little sloppy. As long as we dont get much rain this week, it should all be back to normal that end. Some of the bits that are a little rutted need to be ridden before they...

So where to ride this weekend?

Well o ended up doing a short ride on yarra trails. Started at the bridge at the end of high st and wandered back in a big loop to bulleen rs. All in all it was in much better nick than i thought. I skipped a couple of sections like the paddock, i figured that would be all mud, it usually is...

Nice to see you all responding. Could you image Buxton at the minute. Like cat shit on lino. I thought Youies might re-open. It drains fast. I wonder how bad lystie is? Anyone tried it out recently.

So where to ride this weekend?

Yarra will be under 6 feet of mud. Red Hill is a wash out Forget lysterfield i would say. Youies maybe? The bottom will be dry at least. Ideas anyone? Just a conversation starter guys, no need for any major arguments.

New to Melbourne...where can I ride my MTB?

Try Wombat as well. Train line not far from and a great half day of riding from there. Definitely Yarra trails for your close regular rides. Lots of hidden gems through there and you can string together a big ride if you want. Yarra will be a bog hole this weekend (i didnt go out) but it...

    Your oldest bike related item

My first water bladder. A Caribee 2litre. Thought it was the best, still kinda is. It must be about 15 or 16 years now. 1 replacement bladder. Bought it for skiing. It transcended anything i had in mind.

Can 1x10/11 be too hard for some riders?

Ive always told people that i struggle to see how you can get the climbing power (granny gear) and the top end (blasting down a fire trail). Mind you if i weighed 30kg less and was a pro, i'd do it, but i am 105kg and coming up to 50. i'm sticking with my 2x setup. Mind you my last bike was 3x...
