    301 liteville

I had a Mk11 in medium, but I couldn't fit a 650b rear wheel (30mm internal rim with a 2.35 Hans Dampf tyre). It was so tight the wheel wouldn't even spin.

#enduro(tm) backpacks - anyone got em?

I've just got the Evoc FR Enduro pack in 16 litre with the back protector. Haven't tried it yet, but it looks pretty good. Harness system in particular looks fantastic with a wide waist belt. It's about 7 or 8 cm longer than my current Dakine Nomad, but appears to sit low enough so it won't hit...

EWS Round Two - Derby Tasmania - April 2017

Yep - a mate and I got lottery entries for Rotorua and Tassie in Masters, and we're also waitlisted for Finale. It's going to be awesome. Just starting to get a bit worried about the training (or lack thereof to date). I'm thinking my summer diet of Stromlo shuttles and the chair lift at Thredbo...

    Queentown or Thredbo??

Another vote for Queenstown. I've ridden both, and while Thredbo is great, Queenstown is 10 times better. It's worth going just to ride Huck Yeah in the bike park! But there's so much more than just the bike park. There are awesome trails all around the town.

    Enduro 650B

Awesome looking bike!! What's the Ohlins shock like? Also interested in your thoughts on the Specialised pedals.

Love it - great little vid!

    All day knee pads

I've got the POC Air and the VPD 2.0. They are both very comfortable. The POC Air is definitely lighter weight and a slightly looser fit. The Airs are very comfortable to pedal in. They have a quite distinct bend built into the foam which is just right for riding and helps them stay in place...

AM YT Industries Capra Al Comp 1 2016

Awesome looking bike. I love the red and black colour scheme. How are you finding the DT Swiss wheel set? Looks like the seat tube is just short enough for the dropper post - you've got it slammed!

    DJ Deity Streetsweeper v2

Awesome looking bike. Digging the colour scheme. Understated and classy!

    Is Chainreaction average at best?

CRC are definitely not as competitive as they were four or five years ago, although I still get some things from them. Bike24 is my current favourite.

    Stravisti et al

All mountain bike, around 95% single track: Distance: 3,026 km Time: 221 hours Elev Gain: approx 45,000 m (Strava says 75,500 m, but I was too lazy to switch it off in the gondola at Queenstown :) Rides: 138 2015 was my first full year using Strava. For me, it's a great motivator and...

    Passportes Du Soleil

I did it in 2014, starting from Morzine. Also stayed on in Morzine afterwards to ride for 10 days. At that stage, lifts were only just opening for MTB riding, lift lines were short and there were relatively few people on the trails. A great time to be there. You can get good deals with...

Stromlo Forest Park Master Plan - have your say (gondola access anyone?)

The ACT government is seeking comment on the latest Stromlo Forest Park Master Plan. Details here: http://haveyoursay.planning.act.gov.au/stromlo-forest-park-master-plan?tool=survey_tool&tool_id=stromlo-forest-park-master-plan-survey&ts=1450176697#tool_tab The government is primarily...

MTB and Life & TPD Insurance

Agree that full disclosure is the best option. If you don't, they may refuse coverage when it really matters. As well as shopping around, I'd encourage you to negotiate with them. Most insurance companies want your business and, in my experience, are willing to negotiate. When I got my...

    301 liteville

Currently in Queenstown riding the Liteville, mainly gravity stuff (Skyline bike park, RudeRock, Skipper's Canyon, etc) but also some pedalling (Moke Lake loop). Not had any issues with the Vorsprung air sleeve. In fact, it's been awesome. Super plush compared to the standard air sleeve...
