    Roadie replacement rear hub advice

Went for standard spokes for greater ease in finding replacements. Looks like that has already paid off.

    Roadie replacement rear hub advice

The shop said that they checked a couple of the DT 350 hubs that they had in store still in boxes and that some boxes labelled 11 speed road had 10 speed road freehub bodies fitted. So right box, incorrect contents. They're contacting the DT distributor to see what the story is. The shop is...

By the way the cassette fits it is slightly shorter. Have spoken to the shop. Sorted. Appears hub box was incorrectly labelled. All good.

Thanks @oldcorollas That pic is very interesting. The old free hub body clearly had 11 speed written on it, same as that picture. The new freehub body has nothing written on it.

So I went down the DT350 route. Brand spanking new wheels collected to today. Requested that they be built to match the Cube posted above. Fitting thinks up tonight and there doesn't appear to be enough room for the final/smallest cog on my 11 speed cassette. What am I doing wrong? Test fitted...

Howdy Burners, After a few weeks of fucking around buying various fucking tools and parts from all over the country and the planet, I snapped the final fucking piece, the Park Tool RP-1, the moment it arrived trying to go through this service for the wheels on this bike...

Pedal strike - Bent pedal axle, bent crank arm, or both?

Drive side. Having multiple bikes with varying bentness hopefully reduces the bent feel factor. I reckon I've been riding with bent pedals or cranks on and off for my entire riding life. I used to rip the ends off those pressed metal bmx pedals every other week in the 80's. At $5 or $6 a set...

Pedal strike - Bent pedal axle, bent crank arm, or both?

Howdy Burners, I've been smashing pedals since I was a 10 year old bmxer. Recent circumstances had me doing a bit of investigating which indicated that riding with bent axles isn't a good idea. So while I was waiting for a new derailleur, and hanger, post a recent commuting mishap, I also...

2015 Trek Fuel Ex 9.8 bearing nut

Good call. I couldn't stop myself last night. A store in the UK had the actual part listed online so I gave them a call to verify and ended up ordering it last night. The local Trek shop doesn't have it in stock but is getting one in for me from Trek Central Australia. I should end up with a...

Vic- goldfields trail gravelburn road trip.

The section between Castlemaine and Daylesford used to be known as the "Dry Diggings Trail". A search for this will give you a couple of hits. I'm assuming it's the same trail you're talking about because it included riding along the edge of an aqueduct which runs past the tailings dam for the...

2015 Trek Fuel Ex 9.8 bearing nut

I think this is it ( I didn't take much notice while it was attached to the bike). https://www.ridebikes.co.uk/components/bike-frames/suspension-part-axle-nut-main-pivot-m16x15-20-mm-hex__547 Not sure if there's anything special about it. It acted as a preload for the bearings in that location...
