The call that ICEed don't they?
Yet to find an ICE fuel guage that is that accurate in ANY conditions.I wonder, if an equiv ICE car had only as much fuel in it to go the range of the EV, how close you'd get to empty in the same heavy weather conditions.
Hey, I know that when my car says empty, I have exactly somewhere near 50 odd km worth left in the tank.Yet to find an ICE fuel guage that is that accurate in ANY conditions.
I've used these in a lot of my older car builds and seem to do okay, when they say empty you are pretty close to pushing, otherwise my VS & VL commodore a firm smack on the dash and the gauge came good when it stuck in the hot or cold.Hey, I know that when my car says empty, I have exactly somewhere near 50 odd km worth left in the thank.
Ice to meet you ?The call that ICEed don't they?
Yeah, the Renault and Alfa will do that too - just gives up on the last 50kms or so.I just went from a VW which told you your remaining range down to the last 5km.
My newer Mazda tells you until you have 80km left and then leaves to pray you make it - It is super stressful being in the dark like that
Such weird behaviour. Imagine being that insecure you need to hassle other people for being different…
So if you pull up at a servo in your Tesla and park at a bowser, is it called deicing?
Licking the donut? So if you pull up at a servo in your Tesla and park at a bowser, is it called deicing?
Would be good to hear the details.
Yeah, would love to hear more.
how empty before BMS went funny etc
They are the kooks I alluded to in my previous post.Another video showing how not to charge an electric car, in a situation that favours the ICE car (long highway trips) and would only be the 1% of the type of driving that the majority of us do.
They need to compare the ICE vs EV with a week of around town driving and commuting, with the EV being charged from home, which is the majority of our annual drive time.
Plus having to most likely go out of your way to get to the petrol station. They are the kooks I alluded to in my previous post.
4 weeks of your proposed test would mean the ICE would have to fill up, where the few minutes time spent filling (standing next to a bowser spewing fumes at you) would greatly outweigh the handful of times the owner had to spend 5 seconds plugging in at home.
Don’t forget the baguette that pops out of dash and hits you on the head ‘put some petrol in tightarse’ or is that just my Reno?Yeah, the Renault and Alfa will do that too - just gives up on the last 50kms or so.
“you were warned ages ago, you’re on your own now”
