Newly Released Bikes General

Down on the left!
Perhaps that's apt as they really screwed the pooch on this one. Looks hideous and cheap.

Reckon the massive progression rate is a mistake too.
Yeah agreed on all accounts. Seems it requires a custom tuned shock too not just a specific tune ordered. I presume to deal with that. But probably means just chucking a random shock in off market place and hoping for the best might be trickier than most bikes.

let you google that for me
New Canyon Spectral carbon launched -

150/140 travel
29/27.5 flip chip for mullet set up
In frame storage
NO HEADSET ROUTING :)
Longer reach and stack compared to previous model
34.9mm seatpost diameter
Less anti-squat so less spritely but more compliant in the chunk
Detuned version of K.I.S as standard

They're also releasing 3D print files for staff made frame accessories like an under stem multi-tool mount.

Supposedly Al or Carbon... (Models not up yet on site?)
Will be interesting to see if they can manufacture enough to get any bikes into Aus within a year

For all the models, change location to Canada in menu, filter to 2024 models

New Norco Optic and Sight released, both with high pivot designs.

Interesting, using the I-track patent for location of the idler.

I can imagine the chats at 99 Bikes -

Dude, that bike has an extra cog

Yeah makes you more rad on the trails.

Awesome, sign me up.

I mean, that’s basically the level of discourse around HP bikes everywhere, including here…

They are getting pretty heavy. 15kg for the top spec Optic, that's a lot for a 125mm bike!

That's a remarkable price compared to other alloy framesets out there, about $2500 AUD with a shock that costs over $1000 on its own.

Though the C1 build is apparently 16.2kg and that has EXO tires, so I fear alloy with a DD rear would be into the 17s..

I just bought a 130mm travel Stumpy and that's 13.5kg and it has a swat box. My old 140mm travel 2015 C7.1 Norco Sight was 12.5kg. As @Shredden said, the Alloy bikes are going to be pretty heavy.
