Moon Dog's Jumping the Shark 2013. Cognac barrel aged imperial stout with truffles added. About 15% abv. Very rich and decadent - I suspect it will be awhile before I find anything to trump this beer.

I have been waiting for a package from the US to arrive for 8 weeks. Smuggling it in on a yacht via Vanuatu may have been quicker. Also Deutsche Post and DHL are the same company.

I spent the day at Castlemaine - Woodbrook and Ken's Loop. Trails are pretty good after a bit of rain. I should probably make the effort and try Redesdale one day.

Thanks to all the organisers and volunteers for putting on such a fun race. It was well worth the seven hour drive to get there. I hope to make it to this race again next year.

I would definitely be up for a guided tour of the Castlemaine tracks. I have another ride on today (which I organised - so kinda feel obliged to turn up:joyous:) but will keep an ear out for future rides.

I am thinking of going for a ride on the Woodend/Wombat trails this weekend. Would the trails have dried out by then (if not already)?

USPS is usually the cheapest option when I order from the US. You could ask a local Pack n Send outlet if they can organise delivery for you. They should be able to provide you with a few choices re cost and expected delivery time.

Schwalbe Marathon Supremes. Low rolling resistance and weight with good puncture protection. Good for over 10,000 kms.

+1 DR650. I rode the Simpson, Kimberley and Canning Stock Route on one. Very reliable and good fuel economy to boot.
