    The QUICK question thread.....

Great that you've never had any difficultly with a track pump, however not every rim/tyre combo will seat that easily. There are some combinations, both road and MTB, that are just miserable. If you have a nice tight fit where it's tough to get the tyre onto the rim, and you have good contact...

    The QUICK question thread.....

This is reuseable. More effort in making the thing but less waste overall every time you want to seat a tubeless tyre. Depends how often you need to do I guess.

    The QUICK question thread.....

Buy a second hand fire extinguisher (there's heaps on marketplace/gumtree, I paid $5 for one), clean the fire retardant out of it and then drill a hole in the top and install a tubeless valve. Then all you need is a bit of pump hose and pump head and you've essentially made of these for very...

    Stuffed knee

Collagen supplements are a bit of rort. They're broken down into the same 20 amino acids you'd get from taking regular protein powder, with no detectable change in the different volumes of those amino acids. There are no high quality scientific studies out there which have any evidence for the...

Cleaning up the shed and a lot of this stuff is too good to turf, however I have 0 use for. Would prefer it goes to a good home rather than into the bin, however if it's not gone by November it'll all be getting chucked out. First few items I'd like some cash for, but the rest are free. Not...

    Product Review Pro E4 brakes

Looks like they have an updated model with different clamp design and a banjo fitting for the caliper. Tempted to buy one for my DJ bike, but I can't bring myself to run a RH rear set up.

Pedal strike - Bent pedal axle, bent crank arm, or both?

I've bent cranks before without bending the pedal axle, in a similar manner to the crash you described. If the brand new pedals feel bent, then it's more than likely your crank arm

Tips on removing stuck Eagle cassette

As everyone has said, more leverage is your friend. From personal experience in removing probably hundreds of cassettes, quick bursts of force are best. Can either achieve this like Shredden said with an impact driver, or by hand. If you're doing it by hand (with lots of leverage), attach the...

    Corroded dropper post.

If carbon parts slip when greased, and they have been torqued to the correct Nm, then yes, you would be better off with carbon paste. In saying that, I've never had any carbon/alloy interfaces slip with regular grease and the correct Nm. Depends on the tolerances/quality of the parts

    Corroded dropper post.

Carbon paste containing particulate is used to increase the friction between two smooth surfaces, such as carbon seatpost to a carbon frame, to prevent slipping. Yes, the grease/fluid/whatever that the particulate is suspended in should have anti-corrosive properties, but I guess this varies...

Had a search but couldn't find anything, so apologies if I've missed it. Has anyone had long-term experience with fork seals? I would be happy to trial these given they're about a 1/10 of the price of legit OEM ones, however if they're going to ruin my stanchions or piss oil after about 3...
