    Internal hydraulic cables

With the exception of a dropper post I am not a great fan of this however the last 2 frames I purchased allow for that. In one case the LBS did it under sufferance and charged accordingly. This time I will do it but hydraulic brakes dont seem to be fun. These are Shimano brakes that already...

    Leaf Blowers

Some in Yack are keen to use powerful leaf blowers on our tracks where leaves accumulate, afterwards the workers are covered in dust. The tracks have changed dramatically, they started as smooth red clay now , years later lots of roots and rocks indicating soil is being lost. I wonder if...

The bike mechanic activity I hate the most.

I have complained before and I put myself in the LTIH thread. I hate setting up tubeless tyres. Tubeless is fantastic almost zero flats but it is so hit and miss , I can spend hours and get no where, there is so much to go wrong. I know you have said it before = its easy. There are some tyre and...

Old Ghost Road and Paparoa Track NZ

For those that like bike packing through wilderness I can recommend riding these tracks. 8 of us rode these this March. The amount of work building tracks around cliffs and bridges is incredible. As its a high rainfall forest it best to stay in the huts which have mattresses and stoves but you...
