03 or 04 P1

Hi guys
i ride a 03 norco torrent and its really heavy for urban riding so i wanna buy a P1 i think cos its single speed and its cheap.

What model do you like better???

There both pretty much exactly the same. Id go for the 04 it looks better ans if you ever want to sell it 04 sound newer than 03.

i can't be 100% sure without the '04 specs....but.....from what i can work out they are pretty similar....
so go for an '04 if u can
BUT
as it's end of season....there will probably be some good deals around on the '03 (i got $800 off my '02 p.3 this time last year...)

I dont know what the various weights actually are but is it too likely a P1 would be any lighter than a Torrent? I wouldnt have thought so, the frames are similar ( overbuilt alum ) as is the spec so if you're getting it for a weight saving you might want to check it out first. If the weights are similar why not just make the torrent single speed? Or is it going to be your second bike? Just some thoughts.
