1 1/8 Steerer

Wondering if the Giant XTC 29er 2 has a 1 1/8 Steerer? A mate is asking and doesn't have calipers to measure it.

Google says no, 1 1/8 inch top and 1 1/2 inch bottom, 'Integrated Overdrive 2' headset according to giant website.

"Overdrive 2" is tapered 1 1/4 - 1 1/2".

Actually if it an Overdrive 2 then it's probably 1 1/4 at the top...but if you get a new headset then you can do standard tapered so I'm told.

Correct. Further, the headset can also be stepped down for straight 1 1/8".
