1.5 headtube/ tapered headtube

my new rocky slayer has a tapered headtube and a fox 36 tapered fork, my banshee rune has a 1.5 headtube with a maz 55rc3ti 1.1/8 steerer fork.
i want to swap forks
is it as simple as just swapping bottom cups with the forks?

Is the bottom diameter of a 1.5 headtube different to the bottom diameter of a tapered headtube?

Can swap out. Get a Hope 1.5 bottom cup and their adaptor to fit 1.125. That way if you decide to go back to a tapered fork later you can still use the Hope lower cup without the adapter.

I had the same nightmare when swapping over headsets.

The Rocky most likely has the 'standard' E2 tapered headset, with a ZS55 bottom cup, which is a 'zero-stack' headset. Will this fit in the Rune? No. The inside diameter of a 1.5" 'traditional' headtube is narrower, at 49.5mm. (WTF!!!) The ZS55 cup will be too wide. Looks like you will be up a new bottom cup for each.

Thoroughly pisses me off how there can be so many 'standards'.
