144 Spoke cruiser/lowrider wheels.

Hey Guys, bit of an odd request but does anyone know where i can get my hands on a set of 144 spoke wheels in 20, 24 or 26 inch?

www.charlespurtonimports.com.au imports them but i don't know of any bike shops that deal with them (it's a pretty specialised industry i guess)

I'll probably end up importing a shitty low rider from the states and strip it for parts if I can't source the wheels locally.

This build is going to be fly pimpin'

Loco Lowriders???

You migh want to try "Loco Lowriders" (I think that's what their name is). They are in Melbourne, on Brunswick St. I'm not sure if they deal over the web, if you're not local.

Hope this helps, Shorerider.

I thought most bike shops dealt with CPI.

Maybe if you go to a more family bike orientated shop, or one that sells Phillips child trailers as these are what CPI is most known for.
The other Wholesaler that might have something is Classic Bicycles in QLD, they bring in the GGG choppers and lowriders. http://www.classicbicycles.com.au/

Yeah, CPI aren't that odd ball man.

If you get stuck and can't find em anywhere closer, let me know and I'll sort it. Dunno what postage from down here would be like though?

heh, cheers guys, i guess i'll make the trip down to Cairns and see who can sort me out there, theres not exactally the best bike stores up here.

and yeah buying 288 (front and rear) DT swiss' would cost a pretty penny.

i got some spinners from the states when i built my low rider up..... there the shite but very pricy

do the spinners come with a coaster brake? what i'm building is more of a streched beach cruiser than a low rider, but i'll see what happens.

would this rims be strong? or purely for looks, they may as well be a chunk of ali/steel save tightening the spokes

laid low, its an adelaide low rider shop, look them up, they have some wicked parts, my mates got a lowrider trike, it is prety decked out!!
