2010 Solid bikes & 2010 Reverse components

6/12/2009: 2010 pricing is up at www.fearlesscycles.com.au/home.html

Coming into 2010 Reverse and Solid bikes have been very busy. Some of you may of seen the carbon fibre spring due to be released in 2011.

However they have been up to much more, new direct mount stems, a new range of bars as well as expanding their colours. All the parts have seen a 10-15% price drop across the range when many others have gone up.

We will start of with 2010 Solid.

BLADE ELECTRO
http://solidbikes.de/eng/bikes_blade_electro_2010.html

Starting off with the ALL new Blade electro with 130-160mm of travel. This heavy duty enduro bike has some new technology to make the uphills alittle easier as well as the new era of geometry that is needed to challenge events like the mega-avalanche.

"THE GRUBER Assist is an ultra-light drive for mountain bikes. The drive is invisible Gruber cleverly designed built into the bicycle frame and scores especially through its light weight (900gr).
Pressing the turbo button on the handlebar and the burning disappears into the thighs.
The auxiliary drive made with 100 watts of additional power to the rear wheel - for at least 45 minutes at full load."

BLADE ENDURO

A more traditional version of the Blade electro with a more relaxed, aggressive geometry to help enjoy the pleasure in coming down. An all new linkage plate helps ramp up the travel.

BLADE AM

The whippet model of the new blade lineup, tighter geo for more controlled climbing and reduced weight whilst still retaining plenty of travel.

CARBON PREFORMANCE
The new super light weight entry from Solid into the marathon market. Features 100mm of travel and comes in 4 sizes to best suit the needs of long distance racing. Makes use of UD carbon tubing.

MISSON 9
This year's mission 9 refines their chassis and updates the spec list to the current desire of any budding downhiller. 235mm travel and the new tapered headtube bring it up to date.

MISSON 7
A few tweaked angles is about all that has changed for the 2010 Mission 7, still a 180mm machine that capable of winning local DH races and then hitting up the best freeride lines around. This machine got a 9/10 rating in the freeridzin.de magazine freeride bike shootout, reviewed as one of the best mini DH bikes out.

SPEED
It's big, it's beautiful and its got a gearbox. The Speed remains the flagship DH bike for Solid. Made in Germany with 7020 AL and your choice of paint colour. Another unique feature is the use of IDENTICAL front and rear wheels, no need to carry a full set of wheels to races.

Majority of the line up remains the same, flair still coming in with it's 130-160mm travel in a variety of specs. We can do Frame+ fork combo's with the new X-fusion vengeance fork which is the perfect match (along with a X-fusion H3 shock.)

FLAIR

Harlem complete comes in at a measly 11.5kg and only 1806gms for the frame only.

2010 REVERSE

Reverse have been busy creating new products every which way.
Their stand out product for 2009 was their hubs, many of you won't have seen these around yet but they are seriously nice, by far one of the strongest engagements we've come across.

TWISTER
To accompany the complete Reverse range these headsets stand out. Superlight whilst looking tops.

FORT WILL
The new saddle on the block with water resistance. Designed purely for the tracks such as the famous Fort William. Coming in titanium or cromo rail options these start from 220g.

LEGEND
Personally we have been looking forward to Reverse's first external BB crankset and they haven't failed. At only 855g including BB these things should really make a splash.

SEATPOSTS
Too many new ones to mention, enjoy.

HANDLEBARS
Some big releases for 2010 include the expanded range of the style 76 bars along with a greater line up of XC gear.

STEMS
Probably the biggest excitement from Reverse is their new stems, the 0-SEVEN-10 and the Direct Mount offerings. Anyone want a 31.8mm stem at only 152g?

Pricing will be up as soon as I can possibly arrange.

Enjoy guys!

I wouldn't be putting more than 130mm on a Harlem, they are designed specifically to be a 4x race bike.

Harlem Pro..... amazing ride aye :) rrp?
No pricing for 2010, We use the Euro RRP's to try and stay competitive which means for the Pro is 1999 euros or roughly ~$3550 (09 RRP). We do not plan on setting Aus RRP's on the completes due the fluctuation in the currency. Also means we can offer better prices if things pick up.

Bring on the gearbox revolution! Interesting design, but will have to demo a ride before I comment on asthetics.
The speed is an interesting machine, the look isn't for everyone.

Running identical front and rear wheels along with the use of 7020 instead of all 6061/7075 alloy. The wheels use a double disc hub, rotor on one side, gear cog on the other, allows you to only carry 1 spare wheel for serious racing. Fine tune your gearing by having various rear cogs which open up another field with the gearbox.

  • Floating brake kit
  • 1.5" headtube
  • 100mm BB
  • Progressive Link System

They are strictly a personal order machine- as customer gets to choose their own colour for them.

RRP is 7000 euros.

Inconceivable!
Surely having the rear brake on the down side and rear brake hose running how it is on the Speed is asking for trouble if it gets caught. It does look sweet but the rear brake seems a bit odd

A few of the floating brakes run upside down, personally I cant say why I know the companies choose this option compared to standard style floater.

Prehaps S. or similiar can leave a note about it, if there is any differences behind the positioning of it?

2010 pricing goes up next week!

Plenty of better pricing as well.

DM stem is reasonably well priced as well.

Talked to the owner this week, Style 76 bars are HAND painted in Germany guys- this means the white isn't as strong as powdercoated white bars or other methods.
