There was a lot of class from Canberra sprinkled right through the field ... I thought the race plate number seedings were a bit rude. You had #1 and I had #96...... as it turned out they were right on the money!:embarassed:
The only thing I have in common with the quick boys is that I enjoy this race just as much. It's a speed smash fest. Speed is all relative thought and I'm happy to finish in time to see the presentation!
Our group stayed at The Central Hotel in Eugowra $25pp BnB. Breakfast on Sunday [race] morning was a sliced loaf of white, marg, jam, tea and coffee. Two of us planned to ride home on Monday via the dirt back roads. Up at 5.00am only to find that Mondays 'breakfast' didn't include the bread! They haven't quite embraced new age tourism yet ...... think i'll go a bit up market next year, maybe a tent.
