Yeah that's rock slide, pretty fun little section

It's barely a climb, if it's the section I think it is you hit it so fast you nearly get air off the top of the uphill

Reading that I would hardly call it a climb.
If it follows the line of the 96 track it is on the fireroad, very fast section.

Feel your pain. My mate has decided to get married the day before so no trip to Cairns for me. At least, however, I'll be able to watch it live. :first:

For the record the photo at the beginning of this thread IS NOT part of the DH course - "Crocslide" is part of the XC course - take this as gospel, I walked the XC course with Glen Jacobs etc on Thursday when those photos were taken [hell, I'm even in some : )]

No, as at Thursday 24th October the track was not complete and no one had ridden any of it [at least not with the permission of Ryan Da La Rue]

Unfortunately it would appear that the magazine has got it wrong.
Tourism FNQ has been advised and will contact the magazines to organise the change.
World cups are set for Cairns in 2014 and 2016 (not 2015).
World Champs in 2017.

These dates are true, nothing in 2015.

2014 will be my first major event i attend and i cant wait.
