26" wheels on 650B

Wondering if anyone out there has tried putting 26" wheels on their 650b bike? Does it just turn it into a 26" bike or does it ride like a pig??

Lowers your BB's ground clearance. That's all.

Wouldn't corner any better because you haven't changed your wheelbase (measured from axle to axle).

I've had a frame for 3-4 years that was designed as an early 650b. Always ran as 26". I put in a slightly longer shock and ran a longer fork. It felt like every other 26" I have ever ridden.

Was just pointing out that the bike should infact corner better

Slightly centre of gravity = better cornering.

BMX wheels = vast improvement on 29ers. Unless you enjoy riding up hills and over rocks at the same time.
