You talking about Airlie Beach in North QLD?

If so, the only legal one that I know of is the Great Walk which goes from Brandy Creek all the way to Airlie Beach (30km). I haven't done it all yet, just mucked around at the top of the Airlie part, since I don't have my bike here at the moment. It was originally a walking track, but at the Brandy creek end there's space for the rangers to get 4wd's up to a point, then it's wide and smooth enough for a quad bike and then up near Airlie it's pretty steep and washed out in places, lots of climbing up and back down. They've made water bars by placing concrete railway sleepers on top of the track, so it's a bit of a pain trying to climb in parts.

Hope the main street is done by the time you get here, at the moment it's as rough as a downhill track...
