I think it great to see the Albany MTB community get together and put so much work into the local riding scene down south in the last 2 years.
This has lead to the construction of a sanctioned DH MTB trail, and the construction of one of the best skate/bike parks in their home town.
Now after all this work they have come to the table and asked for the chance to host one of WA's state DH rounds. Of course the people of the state MTB community where more than happy to see this happen and help them make this become a reality.

The event will be run on the long weekend of September, which allows people to come to Albany and check the local attractions as well as put foot to pedal down one of WA's best DH trails to date.
Hope to see a pile of riders enjoying the weekend and heading to the pub afterward to get some chit chat in while food and much needed brews make their way to the table.
