All-round/GRoad tyres for a hardtail

Drop bar that bike and it will make a great grave/touring/adventure bike
Already got that role covered in the fleet.

Swung past a couple of bike shops on my way home last night. I decided the Grifter was too narrow at 2", so went with a Specialized Fast Trak/Renegade combo at 2.35", which'll allow to ride the gravel rail trail as well as bunt around with the kids on the bike paths

Reality is knobbies get chewed fast on the hard stuff. G-ones are super soft and you will chew them out in no time. If I had to pick something with a big knobed centreline would work. Something like a maxxis crossmark. otherwise if you don't need knobs, just go for a schwalbe big apple or something like that. otherwise just get something cheap and wire bead. Most of the cheap stuff on low end bikes actually roll well on tarmac.
