People steal chain rings off bikes now?The 8 bolts are tamper proof torx, looks like theyre discouraging removal.
Not rivets...

Isn't the end of the bolt peened over? You will have to tell us.
Not peened. I'm not going to mark the bolt heads just to try it, but they will unscrew.Isn't the end of the bolt peened over? You will have to tell us.
If so, it's effectively "riveted".
Every tamper proof torx bit I've had in the past has cracked without too much force. Just doesn't seem to have enough meat. Definitely increases the tamper proof factor thoughMight be easier to manufacture in 2 pieces - tamper proof bits are so the end user doesn't try and disassemble as its not supposed to be.
Looks like it might use the same tool as center lock rotors and is just a DM chainring.
Probably like the OneUp system. 4% cheaper to replace just the ring.Whats the point in taking it apart when the replacement rings will have the DM mount attached anyway...
Accepting donations. Please tell me there's SOMETHING Hope SOMEWHERE on the bike?
I'll swap you a few Hope bits for that roughly manufactured old bit of alloy.Accepting donations.
Im thinking the frame is enough over priced bling for one bike...
