Extra Info: itsa good stem, std diametre bar clamp, 1 1/8 steerer size, puts yer bars right over yer forks

hey bit off top but i have always been wondering how those things got bolted on to the steerer tube?? thats whats stopped me from buying one in the past

they have a tapered , 1/4 split piece that goes over the steerer ,
then this other bit that squeezes that onto the st.
???
i may post some dif pics so you can see, prob 2moro

i am slightly interested in your azonic 0 stem
my stearer tube is fairly short and i am wondering if this would be better than a normal stem
it is just a bit too much of a gamble at this price
what is the lowest you would let it go for?
