Hey guys just prepping my bike this Eve for a ride tomorrow and found the frame broken near linkage on rear triangle.
I looked up to contact Defcon and have seen they are no more..
Any ideas what I can do?
It's a 2016 Banshee Spitfire.
Cheers

I would contact Banshee direct. They are pretty responsive.
You could also try Mountainbikesdirect as they are now stockists.

On a side note, how the fuck you break a Banshee? You must shred like a madman.

The chainstay guard looks like it took a big hit. How can you not know when shit like this breaks??

That's I what I thought, when I saw it.
I was thinking back, but nothing out of the ordinary stood out.
It does get ridden fairly hard for its travel. Decent jumps etc, maybe international on Buller was the culprit.. there's some decent rocks through there, but again I don't recall feeling a massive hit to the frame.

That looks more like stress fractures then a big hit. Aluminium has a set number of stress cycles before it lets go.

A big hit usually involves some bending before something lets go.

Yeah and it seems weird that the bar is completely gone, I would've thought one side may have cracked through but the other side would still be hanging on.

Are you running the right stroke shock? Any marks on the top of the lower KS link?

Yeah it should be, it was an upgraded replacement of the original cc inline, that NS swapped for the ccdb air. Think it's 200x57.
No other marks anywhere from frame/linkages contacting each other..
