Bending/Straighting Back Disc Rotors

Personally I just use a shifter if its only little to bend it back, I cant really see how bending it back could hurt it at all.

Another vote for shifter with the wheel mounted. Just slowly work your way around until it stops rubbing.

I may attempt this myself.

Should one wrap a clean rag around the rotor to avoid scratching it with the shifter?

Probably, but i never have. You'd have to be a bit of a dunce to scratch it that badly.

+1 for shifter.

I wouldn't be worried about scratching the rotor really, but it does pay to make sure that the shifter is properly clean before you go sticking it to the rotor.
Or maybe my it's just my shifters that are just covered in grease and crap?

I have used a shifter on a hayes rotor before and it worked fine.

Dont mean to hijack, but what about floating rotors? same deal?
