What have you found comfy before? Do you like flat, curved, wide, narrow, cushioned, minimal padding.
Having an idea of this will help narrow down your choices. My arse likes a wider tail, narrow nose, flat profile with minimal padding. In fact I find minimal padded saddles comfier the longer the ride, I am in love with my Fizik Kurve Snake and have been on rides 8+ hours with no issue with it. Knowing this I can make decisions based on another brands shape and profile and be in the ball park of being comfy.
Shape is only one part of it as well, make sure it is positioned correctly with the right tilt. Its amazing how much a difference a couple of degree's of tilt can make to comfort.
Work out what you need and the rest should be easy (well easier than starting from a blank slate with hundreds of options and may as well throw a dart at a saddle catalogue to pick your new perch)
