on saturday i had to make a trip to my blackmans penrith for a purchase.
i pulled up out the back and looked up and saw the "dolly" as my 5 year old
so innocently called it. at first i ignored it for his sake but with the eyes of
a hawk he had already spotted it much the same as me then
commented "dad, look at that dolly, it looks funny".

all i could think is -
blackmans has really taken personal attention & customer service
to a whole new level.


thats my son pole dancing below it.

FYI. above the penrith store there is a weights gym at the front and
a brothel at the back. chris - from the store attempted to have them
take the doll down, but no one was there...
[or did they not answer because he hadn't paid his bill?]

Pretty stupid, however you cant lay blame on the guys at Blackman's. After all as you so rightly pointed out, it has some interesting neighbours. It would be difficult, if not impossible for the boys to get it down, unless they had the ladder from hell..

no blame laying at all. at least chris was trying to get it removed. chris's comment to me as i passed him once he had tried to get them to bring it down was "can't wait to see that on farkin".

so the challenge was set.

i didn't even think of phil.

Being in the Fire Brigade at Pemriff, I have had the distinct misfortune of attending that dive several times. Someone went through a stage of torching bins in the doorway, always around 2 in the morning. The "girls" would always be standing around in their skimpies trying to look sexy. A good ol' wash down with the hose with 1000 kpa of pressure would've seen 'em sparkle! Slags.

At one of the aforementioned visits we noticed a car in the carpark with steamed windows and P plates. Obviously some kids getting romantic. One of the slurries ran over and started banging on the roof and windows yelling "You're taking my tricks away from me, you little slut". Classy girls. What ever happened to the glamorous life of a Pretty Woman?

i wouldn't envy any fireman in the penriff or cranebrook district.

I find Graham Blackman to be quite irritating. He probably means well but FFS I just can't relate to his sales pitch.

Ummm...we are talking about Penrith blackman's, not the other one, and it's not a bag out session either, blackman's at penrith, you could not get a better bunch of blokes..ever!....Chris,phil,ben,evan...et al.

yeah i am with you BM Epic. this wasn't at all a dig at them in anyway,
so please take it somewhere else... please.

i too find blackmans full of people who DO give a shit about what
you are doing, they listen and are nice guys all round.

my last full bike purchase was at blackmans, chris listened to what
i wanted and completely talked me out of the what would have
been a stupid idea i had in my head, then proceeded to give me
a pretty amazing price. i am so glad he did set me in the right direction.
i could not be happier with the purchase.

and phil has helped me on numerous occasion with set up and just
general questions. they always find the time, even when the store is
going nuts with customers.

having said that. i have only had good experiences at all the bike stores
in penrith, panthers, lifecycles etc. blackmans is just my preferred dealer
because i am a scott man
