Here goes, the formula for calculating the rate of a steel spring is as follows:
(Wire diameter^(4) x modulus of steel)÷(8 x coil diameter^(3) x number if active coils)
I have a titamium spring with no markings and would like to know, if I simply substitute the modulus for titanium, will this calculate my spring rate?
