Chainguide

Just pre ordered a 2014 Giant Trance and will be looking to get a chain guide for it. Any suggestions outside LG1? Looking at around $150 mark. I know there are some cool carbon ones getting around but can't for the life of me remember their names....
Was also looking at those chain retention chainrings (Raceface etc) instead of running a guide... has anyone had any experience with them? The bike comes with a SLX Shadow rear mech

Ive been using a WTC n/w chainring for just over a month now and havent dropped a chain. The chain even stayed on during 2 different crashes.

WTC might be the go them. IMO doesn't look as cool as running a guide but sure does win the weight game. What BCD would I need for the outer tabs on the new SLX cranks?

I've got one of these MRP AMG (All Mountain Guide) - can get a carbon version also. Has been great so far.

At further thought I like the idea of having a taco in case things get rowdy. What do you see as the benifits of nit having a lower roller?

Can also get the LG1 Race, with a carbon backplate, if you're set on some bling.
