Just a heads up, but I'm not 100% sure bikes are allowed in that area of IMAX or any area between the Entertainment Centre and Pyrmont bridge actually.

I'll try and make it out. Nothing like hooning around the streets with a big group of people.

Not allowed to ride bikes in the Darling Harbour precinct, and don't think you'll be able to do anything more than roll around the streets of the CBD annoying traffic... big groups in the city draw heaps of attention, security will be all over you no matter where you go. ESPECIALLY on a Sunday, when the parks and open spaces are filled with tourists.

Good luck, have fun, but don't go pissing off people with URBANXTREMEMTB as it does noone any favours.

I'd say a better meeting spot would be town hall steps, and at 10AM.

You guys gonna let a tight jeans wearing no-helmetted bmxer come along? :p

On a sunday? Fail.

Town Hall steps? Fail.

Do you kids enjoy attracting negative attention? 'cause that's all you'll do if you try to get as many people as possible.

Find a good meeting place that is out of the way, such as Hyde Park fountains or something and don't even think about venturing in to touristy places like the Rocks or DH. You'd be better sticking with the fringes of the city too, such as Pyrmont/Glebe parks, heading to Waterloo or even jumping on a train to Homebush. Granted the CBD streets are pretty empty on the weekends there's still heaps of people around and you want to avoid trouble for the ride to go smoothly.

Sorry to sound negative but ask anyone who was riding Wednesday nights in 04/05...

BMX welcome,

Like I said im throwing this out there. Generally you only attract negitive attention if your doing a negitive thing and I specifically said bring a helmet
and a good additude.

Theres nothing negitive about MTBr's socialising and crusing about the city.

Townhall steps sounds like a good idea.

I was think Of starting at milsons point heading across the bridge and the cruising through hyde park then up william street!

I'm sorry, but what the hell have you been smoking?

City rides have been a regular occasion for over FIVE years, day or night. What makes you think this one would be any different?

Ride where you want, get out when you can and leave no trace. I've been doing just that with many other fellow farkiner's for a long time. We get hassled by security regularly, but why avoid places to "not give mtb a bad name"? Thats the whole point of city rides. Riding, in the city. If it gives MTB a bad name....so be it.

I'd love to come but I work on weekends. Have fun guys!
