Colquhoun Nat Park

In the nearish future I have to go to Longford Victoria for training and was thinking about which bike to take. I've found limited information about Colquhoun but what I have found sounds pretty good. I've ridden around Glenmaggie in the past and had heaps of fun on a 29 hard tail. Would the terrain at Colquhoun warrant taking an AM bike or would this be overkill?

Overkill, go the hardtail.
I would probably say the trails are similar to that of the Yaugher section at Forrest..

I rode it at Christmas with my anthem 650b and it had plenty of travel, the first 6km is lots of fun with jumps and berms everywhere. It then turns into more of an XC track which rewards a bike that can pedal well.

I enjoyed it and it's suits my riding but not really an "all mountain" style track.

I rode there a few months ago on my fully rigid SS, either a HT or XC/Trail FS bike would do fine.
