Crypto Owners More Likely to Have Psychopathic Traits, Study Says

(Bloomberg) -- If you’ve ever suspected that your crypto-obsessed friend might be a psychopath, you may be on to something.

Digital-asset holders tend to exhibit higher levels of “dark” personality traits such as narcissism, Machiavellianism, psychopathy, and sadism, according to a recent academic paper by researchers at the University of Toronto and the University of Miami published in the journal PLO

You fall into one of those categories, ayhe? ;)

“You literally have to be crazy to be involved in something where your net worth is going up a million and down a million in one day,” Wheeler said. “Nothing is guaranteed.”

I have been smart enough to take out all my buy in money. I guess you could say the rest is free but unrealized profit.

But yeah, a Harley would of been nice but better a functioning partner than a hog I guess:-(

It couldn't be any closer to the truth. :D

BitInfoCharts data shows that around 1.86% of wallet addresses — over one million — hold more than 90% of all total BTC currently in circulation. Known as whales, some of these individuals or entities hold large amounts of crypto.

So, it's no different to normal cash where 0.1% hold 99% of the wealth?🤔

You could say the crypto is going okay

Was that trading or just hodl'nig for the last 3 or so years?

Mine has been on the wildest rollercoaster ride, more than the biggest and fastest coasters I have been on at a theme park. It took some serious intestinal fortitude to keep hodling on when I was like 60% down.

But now it isn't looking too bad at all. It's just resisting the temptation to sell to secure those paper profits.

Still a few less digits than yours though :p

The problem is there is nothing backing it or governing it.
There's hardly anything backing government issued currency now, since they dropped the gold standard.

Governance could be a good or bad thing too, depending how we look at it. I see pros and cons to a decentralised currency.

How hard is it to manipulate our currency compared to Bitcoin, and what backs Bitcoin it's just a bit of magic in thin air. Every time they loan money in banks they basically print money, so it's backed by assets.

Baa has haa, it was a mistake on their behalf but looked impressive.
I'll be honest, I took a tenner out, let the rest ride.
One day it will be a reality
