Just got hold of this new frame.

Here is the spec list so far:

Frame: Red demo8 07.... large with stickers removed
Shock: Fox DHX5
Forks: Boxxer race with team lowers. I like the black! Soon to be running WC air with same black lowers.
Brakes: Shimano XT 4 Pots. (I love them!) Front and rear XT 8 inch.
Front hub: Shimano Saint centre lock disc.
Front rim: Mavic 721
Rear hub: Dice roulette
Rear rim: Mavic 729
Derailer: SRAM X9
Pedals: Azonic A-frames
Seat: Specialized
Seatpost: Specialized
Stem: FUNN Direct mount
Bars: FUNN Fat Boy
Chainguide: E thirteen
Headset: Cane Creek Lanusse
Cranks: Holzfeller Howitzer

nice man looking good


thats the first time ive seen wood used as a shock like that - you'd better hope it was tough as nails :D

How ugly were the stickers??? I put them on the side of some old lockers and they actually made the lockers look worse than they were.... Shudder....

Ride? Not until I upgrade my shock..... Just for looking at right now. It was a bit hard doing the build with the back end all floppy....:D

Its about 18kg at the moment. When i first built it up it was about 17.6kg but that was with Middleburns, a very light rear wheel and a lighter fork, all which have since been destroyed :eek: now its slightly more heavy yet solid and reliable.

Shock fitted and cables tied in.

I have got to say this bike feels just magic.

Hit up the jump outside my place today with a mate and loved it, after the first ordinary looking effort that is.....:D
