It looks pretty stupid but It's probably not such a bad idea. It'd be pretty funny/hard I reckon. People probably did that before they rode bikes. And when someone decided to ride a bike down a mountain everyone probably thought they were idiots haha. But still, why run when you can ride a bike.

It's actually really fun.

Out at the grampians (school camp) me and another kid (well there was others but they were all slow as fuck) raced down from the top of the mountain. I fell over few times but it was all good fun. I think it took us about 15 mins to run back down on slippery/sandy/sometimes wet surface.

That was on a proper walking track but would've been super fun to ride down.
