if you check the 04 marzocchi catalog, the 888RT internals are listed as non-adjustable pumping rod in both legs.

which to me, would indicate junior t quality with pretty packaging....

How about a 2003 Turner DHR......never ridden seriously offroad.....The farkin boys will attest to it's condition as it was seen as the display bike at bike show. I'm bleeding internally doing this but how about $6500 and no I won't take offers!

Yeah, I can testify, that thing is just beautiful, but maybe a little more race orientated?

He really wants to race the thing, hucking is just something for in between.
Longevity and speed the key. A downhill rig,not a warmed over freeride bike would be the go. I haven't seen all the 04 models available and he's limited to 5k. Which is a shame cos my personal favourite and my weapon of choice the DHi has come down to 6500.
