Got a spare HG freehub with a set of DT 350 wheels, but they were QR and the thru-axle end caps don't seem to work as there is an extra cover in the dropout side of the freehub which compromises the lip on the end cap
The QR end cap seems to have an approx. 2mm lip to seat against the bearing, which clears the cover; whereas the thru-axle version is only approx. 1mm
I assume I need to take out the extra cover - is this as simple as prising it out or is it held in with the thread of the freehub body (and needs unscrewing)?
