NSWMTB, Western Sydney MTB
Don't know if I am allowed to post here but women are an important part of our target so here goes,
NSW/ACT is trying to introduce a short course type of racing that suits most bikes and is relatively easy. This will act as racing style in its own right and as an introduction or start to mountain X which is getting more difficult and specialised to ride. Dual Slalom is two riders racing down two separate 30 second courses. The riders do not need a full face helmet but should cover their skin and would not normally come into contact with another rider. The bike best suited to this type of racing is a hardtail or standard bike so you can try the sport out with your street or cross country bike.

The women's classes are Elite, Sport, Masters (over 30) and Junior (Under 19). If more women come the classes will be expanded. The first and second round were at Newtons Playground at Mt Panorama, Bathurst and four ladies tried the sport, the next round is at Sydney Olympic Park Monster Mountain X this Saturday in the P5 car park adjacent to the Monster Mountain X track. Yes it is in the car park you will be riding on tar around witches hats for something different. The other races will be at Stromlo (either on part of the mountain X track or on a near by hill) and Kurrajong (on the grass with ski poles).

Hopefully we will have large womens classes this race and many more.
