Elevation Victorian Gravity Enduro Series

The Elevation series is one of the coolest mountain bike race formats on the planet because it isn't hard core downhill, and not hard core uphill either. Its a great mix of 70% flowing descending trail sections, and 30% undulating trail sections. Trails are 10-20 minutes from top to bottom, on some of Australia’s BEST tracks.

Without the technical sections like a downhill course, and no massive long climbs like a cross country race, it’s the prefect event for all riders as there’s no big risks and no olympic level fitness required! That’s what makes it so much fun. The perfect bike would be a 4 5 or 6 inch travel bike, but all courses are ride-able on an xc or dh bike too. With professional transport at each round taking riders to the top of the mountain, it makes for a very social event and easily accessable to any rider.

For the 2013/2014 series we have set out to make the Elevation series the best mountain bike series in Australia. We have made a lot of amazing changes that not only make the series even better value for money, but also much more exciting racing with added classes and extra riding time each round. These changes include:

• 25% discount for entering the whole series up front (more affordable)
• Two timed runs for all riders in all classes, not just one
• Seven amazing rounds instead of five
• A professional promo film made at each round by Jake Lucas Media
• More variation in the terrain, the tracks, and the course length
• A large marquee with chairs and tables at each round
• More classes to allow racing at any age or ability level
• Pro scaffold start ramp at every round
• Fantastic food and beveridge catering confirmed for each event
• Massive inflatable finish line arch for a more exciting finish
• Helmet cam footage preview for each course (we now have a full kit to actually do it!)
• Payback system for prizes for elite men and woman
• A podium to stand on at presentation after each race
• More professional online entry system that’s easier to use

We have a class to suit every age and every ability that ride bikes. Junior age classes are Under 13, Under 15, Under 17 and Under 19. We then have Sport (beginner), Expert (intermediate) and Elite Men and Elite Woman. Then for the more matured riders, we have Veteran (over 30), Masters (over 40) and Super Masters (over 50), and of course the new "GRUDGE MATCH" class for a team of mates, where you ONLY RACE EACH OTHER, not anyone else. The age class goes on what age you are during the series. For example the age system starts on October 18, and finishes May 12. If you are 16 years old you would be under 17, but if you then turn 17 during those dates, you would be classed as Under 19.

EARLY BIRD 25% OFF FULL SERIES ENTRY FOR THE UPCOMING ELEVATION GRAVITY ENDURO SERIES IS NOW OPEN. Want to save a bundle on entering the series? Pay for the whole series (seven rounds up front) for just $500 instead of $665. This makes it AFFORDABLE and gives you two rounds for FREE!!! Full series entry for the whole season will only be available during June-July-August. Junior entries can also receive 25% off for upfront entries, with full series online entry upfront its just $400.

All dates and locations are on the event poster attached. For even more info hit up our web page at www.alpinegravity.net/racing

Cheers,

Ben.

Elevation series

The two day race programs work very similar to a downhill race format, with practice all day saturday, then practice sunday morning and racing sunday arvo. All the series info and how it works is at www.alpinegravity.net/racing

The Buller event is still being finalised but start in the village square and head down to gang gangs, then onto the delatite trail, but we are trying to incorporate some other cool stuff if we can.

Buller

We'll most likely go all the way to the bottom, so a 25 minute descent for the fast guys. I havent fully decided where the finish line will be yet, but if theres a need to cut out some needless flat pedalling after that amount of time, it might happen. We'll see, but definately alot closer to the bottom than just box corner.
