Evocities series.

My racing partner Bret has put together some words on the combined Evocities & VES race at Albury.
Pretty brutal day out, with a tough track being made quite a bit tougher for 2015.

Being part of the Victorian series, we were quite impressed by the backing the Evocities guys have and the way they work to promote the events.
$1000 bucks for the male & female winners, plus a spot prize of a brand spanking new Giant Trance. I'll never forget the young fellas reaction when he heard his name announced and I'm sure he's still smiling.

Dubbo - next round ;) (easier than Albury)

Hi all, check out the attached video which gives you a glimpse of some of the fun to be had at Dubbo (Geurie) for the next round of the EvoCities series on sunday July 19

Entries open til midnight on Wednesday July 15, racing kicks off early (8ish) to give people a chance to get home before dark. Registration and event pack pick up Saturday arfternoon in the heart of Dubbo at the visitor information centre, with late pick up possible if you get to Geurie early enough on the sunday. Trails will be marked up on the Friday.

The usual support facilities will all be there, good parking, loos, bbq being put on by the Geurie Public School P&C for breakfast and lunch

Word on the street (and the race profile) says this should be affair bit easier than Albury ;)

Oh yeah, discounted zoo entries will be in your rego packs, if you want to use them earlier than rego opens (ie Saturday am), let us know and we'll sort you out at dubbomtb@gmail.com

And finally Geurie (pronounced Gear-y) is halfway between Wellington and Dubbo (25k's either way) on the Mitchell Highway in central NSW and the trails are 3k south of town on the Arthurville Rd - NOT the Bald Hill trails (were saving them for another day)

Cheers

Dubbo this sunday!

Hi burners,

the forecast for Dubbo for sunday is sunny, 4-16, perfect riding conditions!

Weve had some rain (but no snow) but most of our trail is very well drained, we'll be looking to divert around a couple of less well draining patches which will shorten the course up by around 2km, that'll take the loop from 15 to 13ish km

Racing will be on, we have great food drinks and coffee on site, were working on a surprise or two on the trails, the village of Geurie is only 3km away with some great coffee and food and if youre up for series honours you really want to register for this one, theres a chance of grabbing some big points!

Regos at the moment are a little down on the rest of the series so this is your chance to pile on some points, ride a great trail, visit the zoo or just have a weekend in the sunny green countryside (amazingly green here at the moment)

Hope to see you all out here sunday! Saturday for rego and a sneak peek at the trail ;)

Snow will be gone soon

The roads will be open again today, there will still be snow lying about in the blue mountains/Bathurst/Orange districts which will make for a pretty drive, no snow out here and the forecast is still for a sunny weekend, cool mornings and mid teens days - Beautiful winter riding!

The rain we've had will make our trails beautifully tacky and at this stage all of the best bits of the trails will be open for business! Think flowy bermy goodness, followed by a little bit of climbing, followed by more bermy flowy goodness, rinse, repeat for 15 kms :)

We love these trails and were sure you will too.

And remember you can register online or on Saturday at the rego site in Dubbo near the visitor information centre

Sundays race went off really well, the field might have been restricted by the shitty weather and snow across the BlueMountains Orange and Bathurst but Dubbo and Geurie were perfect, 16 degrees by the end of the race. Magnificent! And the trails were wonderfully tacky

Anybody make it out? Thanks for coming. What did you think of our trails? Or the band?

We'll be on again next year, bigger and better (and hopefully no snow) - spread the word
