fork slime

hey guys.
when i let some air out of my fox floats, they squirt out a green slime.
is this good? do i want it kept in the forks? if so, how should i let air out of it?

I don't know about the green slime, but at a guess I would say it should be in there. Sure it isnt just fork oil?

As for letting the air out, use a shock pump. They all have a little release valve underneath which lets out like 1 Psi at a time. That way you can keep the slime in, and get the forks to the right pressure :p

The "slime" is actually fork oil. It helps create a seal at the o-rings to prevent air slowly leaking out of the chamber. It is supposed to be there. It should be a heavy weight oil or lube, hence it's thicker slime appearance.
