Hi gang, picked up a cheap f series 32 fox fork, and its around 130mm travel, is there a ghetto way to reduce the travel to 100mm for pump track use? Dont know the exact year becauseni couldnt locate a serial number. Many thanks in advance! jez

Yeah just rip the airshaft out and drill a new hole to pop the roll pin through 30mm up.
There will probably be more than 1 hole in it already.

Yep as @Mattyp said.
Probably won't need to drill any holes, because it is likely that there will be holes for 100 and 80mm travel options.

Thank you for the responses! Any vague idea what year it is so i can work out fluid volumes? Tapered steerer, approx 130mm travel, 26 qr wheel.

Also if you don't have the right size punch find a nail that is the right diam. and cut and file off the tip square to use as a punch. Approx. 2mm diam from memory, try it on one of the other holes.
The pin pushes out pretty easily, can't do it just with fingers but can hold in hand while tapping with hammer.

Just wanted to say a big thank you to all in this post! Last night i managed to reduce the travel to what i wanted, serviced the fork and did a tapered steerer to straight tube conversion and managed to finish the build of my pump track rig. It feels great now and ready to shreddy
