frame painting - who's done what?

hey-o, thinking of spraying my frame, or at least my forks. its a downhill frame so im wondering how many litred of paint would be needed.
im thinking of pearl paint for the forks, like on the new 06 boxxer world cup's.
has anyone on farkin undertaken such a project?
how much did the paint cost?
how much would a pearlescent paint cost per litre?
other random question.
there are many people thinking about frame painting, but not asking the right questions, wanting the right detail to do the job right.
any tip's from anyone*cough* GRIP- HELP! *cough* would be appreciated.

im planning to paint my frame soon, and i would just get it powedercoated by grip. he dose good shit. you dont really want 2 risk getting a shitty job do you?

have a look on his website there is a few frames that has been coated. as for forks i have no idea about that
