Garmin 810 or GoPro 3+ Black

Hey Guys

I'm a lucky boy and have a choice of getting either of the above for xmas.

So given I can't decide I thought I'd open it up to the esteemed members of this forum.

I ride largely xc around canberra but hope to venture further a field so I'm torn between mapping abilities and video.

Its a difficult choice but a good problem to have.

I think you'll get more out of the Garmin. Who's going to watch your videos. You'll get bored with the GoPro when only XC riding.

Im thinking its the its the maps that were the upside of the 810.

I had the same choice and I went with the Edge 800 last year. Definitely glad I made that decision. I use it on all my bikes and it's allowed me to get out and explore lots of trails that I probably wouldn't have otherwise.
