Can anyone advise me which way the lower bolt of the rear shock of a Giant Trance X1 2008 should go. I removed the shock last night to put new seals in it and and found the thicker section of the bolt/bush unit was pushed in from the chain ring side. This meant I had to remove the chain rings to get the bolt/bush unit out. It would appear the bolt bush unit can be fitted either way and if it was fitted from the non drive side then it could be removed with touching the chain rings. So other Giant Trance owners which way is the bolt/bush installed on your bike?
Does any one have the torque figures for the upper and lower bolts and is there a link to somesort of tech info for the Trance. I got some stuff on the shocks and most of the manuals for the components can be found on the net but would be interested in maintence requirements for the supension bushes and the like.
