Well I've actually been here for a few days jumping straight into stuff, but I figured a little intro would be kinda nice....
I was a non-competitive roadie in a past life, until I discovered dirt a bit over four years ago, on board an old Giant ATX with with amazing(ly loud) canitlever brakes that I borrowed from a friend. The bug bit hard, I lashed out on a Giant Anthem and haven't looked back. XC is my thing. I race a bit, but I'm no star; I live around the middle of the field, sometimes sneaking into the top 1/3.
My home trails are Red Hill on the Mornington Peninsula south of Melbourne, although I cut my teeth at Lysterfield nearby. I still go there a bit, and also You Yangs when I can spare a day.
I'm a bike mechanic, so you're most likely to find me around the tech threads. :wink:
Might bump into a few of you (not literally I hope!) on the trails sometime. :smile:
