NSW Halfpipe help - plywood

hey there

im buidling a halfpipe for the second time but this time with extensions eg a spin in the middle and a wallride. Do any one of you guys know where i could get cheap plywood that i can bend to shape, pref sheets atleat 1.5x1.5 to lay on the curves around the south coast (kiama) area.

Don't know about Kiama way, but up here on the Notthern Beaches the local tip sells second hand timber. Great place to source ply and everything else you need for building goodness.

well firstly i believe sheets of ply come in 1.2 x 2.4 mtr lenghts so 1.5 x 1.5 may not happen(may be wrong, but not often)...... i suggest going to bunnings they have a great range and generally sell the thinner sheets at sale prices for a fraction of the cost... i picked up 12mm sheets for 12.50 each at sale... doubled up gives you plenty of thickness to bash your face into.... the 12mm sheets are really easy to bend, and i think you can get 10mm sheets for less if your scratchin for cash.......
